The Golden Roof of the Tibetan Temple meets with British Clarity

There could not have been a better surrounding for the presentation of the nine-centures-old text by Sonam Tsemo, The General Presentation of the Tantra Sets. The golden roof of Tibetan temple of Dhagpo Kundreul Ling glimmered in the sky of the French countryside, an unlikely place for a Buddhist temple. And yet, it felt that it was well established in its surroundings. Likewise, the ancient text was presented by the English born Lama Jampa Thaye with an impeccably British sense of humour and with an (expected) clarity.

The teaching took place from 5th to 12th of April in Dhagpo Kundreul Ling, at the request of Jigme Rinpoche, and about a hundred monks, nuns and residents were present. In spite of their busy schedules with the reorganising of the establishment, they were all present at the morning and afternoon teachings, eager to expand their knowledge of dharma. The East and the West were truly united during this week in the search of the truth of reality.
